Standard recovery equipment that includes: closed front and rear recovery points snatch strap with rated shackles shovel, air compressor off road AT or better tyres with at least 50% tread. No pets, no firearms. Raised suspension highly recommended.
Overnight:
Base Camp at Moonambel Recreation Reserve $15 a night per site for unpowered. $20 for powered. The reserve has toilets and showers. We'll be staying Friday and Saturday night.
Details:
The trip will kick off at 9am Saturday morning. Saturday's drive will be a day trip heading south into the Pyrenees. There will be some challenging tracks with rocks, ruts and steps etc. (Old Bluff track is an option if you'd like a really tough climb). Bring food and drink for the day. There will be a campfire / happy hour on Saturday night. There will also be an optional 2-3 hour drive on Sunday (9am start) into Kara Kara NP which should be an easy to medium drive.
