Standard recovery equipment:  

• rated front and rear recovery points
• snatch strap with rated shackles
• shovel
• air compressor
• AT or better tyres with at least 50% tread - including the spare
• Maxx Tracks or similar could be handy
• Sand flag if you have one but not mandatory

Base camp at Murrayville Caravan Park
$15 per night unpowered
$20 per night powered.
Bring cash, honesty box.

Details:

Join us for some sand driving and hill climbs in the Big Desert in western Victoria.

Base camping at Murrayville (6 hours from the westgate bridge), vans or trailers are welcome.  

The trip will kick off with happy hour at 5pm on Thursday April 24.

We will be driving in the eastern side of the Big Desert Wilderness Area on Friday (Anzac Day) with an option to tackle the Big Dune.

On Saturday we will travel around the western side where we found some very soft sand last year.
